Both Ian Bird and myself have similar systems we use 12v valves
available

Since I last updated my page I have replaced the manual switches with a
link into HV. The valves are driven from HV outputs (via a relay
board)
and the switches now go to inputs on HV to override the fully automated
watering. I am planning to link up a rain bucket this coming weekend
to
control the amount of water dependant on rainfall.
