I’ve been umming and ahhing about this for a week now, and have to make a decision by 4:00pm on Wednesday. My living area is roughly 5.5mx7m consists of a desk, sofa, round dining table and telly.

I’ve got the choice of installing 30 20W downlighters (as in the attached tif) or 16 50W downlighters to cover the main living area. The whole system is going to be operated via a Polaron lighting system. I’m really at sixes and sevens. Obviously 30 downlighters offer more flexibility, but on the downside the total cost is much (£30 each installed including wiring back to node zero, plus more channels means more dimmer packs at roughly 100 quid per channel) and I think that 30 lights in the ceiling may be a bit overwhelming.

Thoughts please?

Tim
