Re: [OT] Orinoco RG1000

Yep did the same thing myself :P

Try this...

1. Change your wireless adapter your pc to IP:
153.69.254.x (where x is
any number except 254) and Mask of 255.255.255.0
2. Turn off encryption on the card in your PC
3. Hold down the "Forced Reload" button on the RG for
2 seconds. The power light should turn hard amber
4. Start up the RGSetup app. It detects that the RG is
in Soft Relaod mode, and resets all the factory
defaults, disables WEP and removes your
Read/Write password.
5. The RG then reboots, and you can continue into the
setup app.

Worked for me.

Hi folks,

Errm, I've cocked up... a little while ago in a fit of
securing my wireless I set a password on my RG1000,
disabled scans and used a nice long key...

Since i haven't used/modified the configuration for a
while ... errm.. I've forgotten the password and
key!!!

I've tried the Forced reset procedure but when the
RG1000 reboots it's all the same.. key/password...

Can anyone suggest a fix (other than buying
another!)
