RE: About to take the plunge

Title: Message

I will put something together with a little more detail later, but in a word awesome!

I’m using it with an ATI Radeon 8500 which has a DVI output, and the display is very crisp.

In summary:

2xDVI inputs

1xRGB D-SUB

1xS-Video

1xComposite

All selectable from the menu. I didn’t bother with the pivot software as the Radeon driver already has that functionality built in, and I’ve just set ctrl-shift-r to toggle between portrait and landscape modes (though I think I’ll be spending most of my time in portrait mode. While I wouldn’t want to swap my plasma for it for movie viewing I’ve watched a few mpegs, and had a go with my helicopter simulator, and the lag isn’t intrusive at all (and that is something I’m really sensitive to).

The four port USB hub isn’t something you’ll be plugging and unplugging all the time, as the ports are round the back of the screen rather than attached to the base (which is where I’d have preferred to see them).

9/10.

Tim.

Who cares, I’ve bought one. Watch the price drop by 100 quid in the next week J

I waited for 18 months for plasma prices to drop. Bought one at 6,500 9 months before they dropped to 4k!

Christian

My point was the software that is shipped with the Iiyama doesn't work and you have to download the upgrade (605Fup.exe) to work with XP
