Out of all the displays I've seen so far, this one does look pretty damn good especially at that price.

The board and display should fit quite nicely into a UK double socket. = ; The
board is 10cm x 6cm, so assuming your back box fairly closely matches the blanking plate, at least for height, things should be ok.

Standard      Screws(W) Outside(W) Outside(H)=
---------------------------------------------
UK Double      12.1cm    &nb= sp; 14.5cm      8.5cm
UK Single      6cm     =         8.5cm     = 8.5cm
Lutron 3104      2*Top&Bot   =    20.8cm      11.6cm

This display, as with most of the others I've seen, has quite a small
visible area.  Approx 7cm wide x 2cm high for this one, a bit narrower= than
a UK single socket, with space for three units in the available height.&nbs= p; Of
course this isn't actually possible because of the additional blank space used by the display and attached board.

Being a graphical display though and using proportional fonts, we should be=
able to squeeze quite a lot of information on it.  I just don't expect= to be
able to read it from the other end of the room.  The phone I have at w= ork
has a display of a similar physical size, though only LCD at 18x2
characters.  This is very readable but I'm trying to imagine VFD with = four
lines of text in the same space.

The other thing, looking forward, that should be considered is that this display doesn't appear to have any logic on the board for input.  So t= his
would need to be tacked on some how possibly requiring another serial link,=
if any user control was desired.

The display talks about built in screen savers and reverse modes etc. = How
much of a problem do you think burn-in is on these?  I like all the windowing control that's in there, proportional fonts, and text scrolling.<= BR> Great display overall.

Are you or anyone else still considering getting this one?  Or is the = hunt
still on for alternatives.
