RE: The quest for discrete IR codes...

Ken,

Send me the raw IR in a notepad file, and I’ll see what I can do. Not guaranteeing anything, but I may be able to send you back a few codes you can try. Panasonic use really weird IR coding schema so they are difficult to decipher but most of their kit does respond to discrete codes (cf Toshiba where most of their kit doesn’t)

I need to find discrete on/off codes for my Panasonic PT-AE100E
projector as Pronto does a macro to either power the whole AV stack up
or down and I have scoured Remote Central etc in search of these to no
avail. Does anyone either know of the existence of such codes or how you
would figure out how to do this?

The problem is that the projector responds to a single press as an on
command and a double press as an off one, so when Pronto does it's off
routine a few seconds later the machine springs back to life again. Most
irritating I have to say! ;)

K.
