The xAP demo consisted of:

A horde of laptops, with 802.11b cards :)

Tony's CM12 interface application, a CM11, a Lamp module, an Appliance
Module, a Mini Timer and a lamp with an unfeasibly bright 60W bulb..

After an initial "not working" (due to a hardcoded IP broadcast address on
my part (oops))

We were able to demonstrate a few examples of xAP packets being sent around,
but the main thing was:

Sending an X-10 xAP message from any laptop with the software could switch
the lamp/appliance module (clunk ;)) on or off

A Monitor app showed the xAP packets flying around, including plenty of
"strange" packets from James (which the apps dutifuly ignored as not being
of interest ;) )

Pressing buttons on the minitimer were correctly picked up by the app, and
the appropriate xAP packets were sent across the wire.

after a shaky start, a nice demonstration of the capabilities of the
protocol.

Ian.
