Guys,
I am struggling
to
understand why I may need to run COAX to every room.
Our set up has
whole house distributed audio / as well as the option for DDAR devices.
KAT 5
will be used.
Can I not just
distribute the TV prgrammes (Satelite, TIVO, DVD whatever) over KAT 5
?
Perhaps someone can explain how the following get
sorted:
1.
Synchronising
picture and sound. If SWMBO turns the channel then she wants the sound
to
switch too. Assuming that I am not using the crap speakers in the TV how
might
this be achieved.
2. There will
always be folks who want to watch different channels at the same time- it's
one of the main reasons to have more than one set. I guess KAT5 and a
recording device kinda sort this, but perhaps this is where COAX is useful?
If
so what is the setup given my need for half decent
sound?
3. If COAX
needs
to be run - can it be in the same ducting as CAT 5 and other 'data' cables
such as USB or serial or SCART cables.
Thanks
