FW: Re: SliMP3 & Homeseer...

Okay okay okay.
I didn't mention the price in the first place.  I was commenting on th= e
quality of the LCD.

Just because the price of the Rio was reduced to flog off end of line stuff=
does not mean the display is good for the money.
The display _should_ have been good for the original price and _great_ for<= BR> $99.

Also, at least one is willing to pay =A3150-odd a time to Kevin for his one= s,
which is rather closer to the original price than $99...

Please don't jump in to defend the Rio when it's not being 'attacked'.
It started out as a gentle rib at the quality of the display on the Rio, no= t
as a "Rio is rubbish" thread, so no need to leap to it's defence = and start
another "this is great because it was so cheap" type of argument = - this will
achieve nothing except to irriate people.

I was asked what _I_ expected and _I_ said "for the original asking pr= ice,
something that you _can_ read" - ie if I had paid 199 I would have exp= ected
a lot more - this does not mean I am trying to tell people that they should=
have expected a lot more.

Oh, and the price of the AT's and SLiMP's hasn't come down either, it is merely the fact of importing them from the US and/or bulk buying that has obtained a good price on them.

Can we just leave it there please?

Tony
