Oops, that'll be me then ;-)

Joking aside, that's what I like about software, I think so much more
is achievable, or you can tweak and massage it to your needs WAY
easier than you can with hardware.

That's been shown to happen already with the Rio's and their various
new client/server s/w packages.

This does depend on how open you're willing to be about your s/w of
course, hence my curiousity about the MP3 project given an idea I had
this morning.
