Tom,

ActiveCID is an ActiveX control to enable you to write your own applications
in VB (Visual Basic) or other similar languages.  It is not in itself an
executable program.

http://www.pathwaydata.co.uk/CallerIDAppDev.asp gives you a brief overview,
and you should fine some example sourcecode on you CD, however this will
need to be compiled in VB before you can us it.

HTH

Stuart

Help required.

This may be a very stupid question, but in my enthusiasm to make a HA
purchase I have just taken delivery of my Meteor. However, with the
software which came on the disk "ActiveCID 3 Std Edition" it does not
seem to do anything! No LED's light, it is connected to Com2, also I
cannot find the executable programe to run, nothing of any use as far
as I can see. I have looked through the threads of messages on the
Meteor and I have to say it may as well be in double dutch. I did not
understand a word.

Have I bought a pup or am I missing something very obvious! Any help
would be much apreciated. All I wanted was to keep a record of what
calls have been made and then perhaps look at a computer based
answering type service. Can this be so difficult?

Regards

One confused Meteor owner

Tom
