Hmm...

If we adopt this approach, then it means that we should do two things:

1: move the Network Broadcast code _out_ of the existing plugins, and instead stick in a "talk to the multiplexer"

2: write a multiplexer (well, one for Windows, one for Linux to start with.)

I have, in the case of the Outlook App, cleverly not yet built in the network code - you may have thought this lazy, or not technical enough, but it was, as you'll see, merely prescient :-)

Yes, you can use this kind of multiplexer arrangement. The obvious
thing to do in a PC environment is to have a multiplexer process
which accepts local point-to-point connections from xAP enabled
applications, and maps these to/from broadcasts on the network.
