Outlook /Prioritisation
Ah right, - never needed to try that...
I *think* it should work OK... MAPI inherently supports windows
authentication so it will normally automatically authenticate to the server
using the current logon context, however, this can be turned off, so that
each MAPI connection can authenticate explicitly. - You can try this with
an
Outlook client - open the properties of your MAPI profile, then open the
properties of your Exchange server service, then go to the Advanced tab,
under the "logon Network Security" list you have several chioces,
including
none. If you select this, Outlook will not attempt to authenticate for you,
and you'll get a logon dialog...
Now, as it's not possible to run two instances of an outlook client on the
same PC, it's a little tricky to check wheter this allows the same client
device to make two MAPI connections simultaneously...
I'll try it tonight when I get home with some other MAPI clients if you
like...
