RE: HomeDisplay - sound?



I think it may be worth clarifying the terms.

HomeDisplay is a proposed serial device that will be able to display information from xAP-compliant broadcast sources. (In AP terms, it's an output plugin plus a physical device).

xAP is a HomeAutomation broadcast protocol optimised for use over ethernet or serial networks.

I know that we are trying to limit the scope, but how possible is it
to have the unit emit a sound (simple beep would be fine) when
an 'important' message is displayed.
