Is it true to say this: (hope the ASCII art comes out OK)

Daisy-chain =
      _       _       _
-----_-----_-----_-----


Whereas Multi-drop =

-----+-------+--------+------
                   
                   
     _       _        _
    _     _      _


And would it also be true to say that electrically, these are effectively
the same? (assuming the devices are passive)
