I am in this situation myself, despite only being 300 yards from my
local exchange there is no chance of it being ADSL enabled. So I have
been using ISDN for the past 4 years and it really isn't too bad. Big
downloads are a pain, but I schedule them overnight and I don't do
online gaming so I can't comment there. But normal browsing is OK,
often the speed is slower at the other end anyway! Also of course you
can bond ISDN for 128K which is pretty good. I personally would say
that ISDN is the best route unless you have a specific need for lots
of bandwidth. Leased lines can be done almost anywhere, but the best
price I could find was about =A35000 pa and that wasn't dedicated at
the ISP end.

Graham
