You missed out a bit – the
technology
involved has been mature since the mid eighties when they stopped trying to
introduce
really clever circuits that didn’t do anything (except Julian Vereker
of Naim
but then he’s always been a bit of an odd-ball)
Unless you’ve got Chord money,
and
the only people who I know who’ve got Chord work in the trade,
there’s
no real reason to upgrade. Amplifiers last for ages too, and are really
cheap
to repair..
