Just doing a write up on this story can any one confirm the below
story and how it started ? and if the details are correct

On Friday 26th July around 5:00pm the website http://www.foris.co.uk/
showed a rather good bargain on a Sony Vaio Notebook/Laptop C1VE
CrusoeTM5600 for only =A364.82, a good buy as this laptop is normal
over =A31000. This was reported to the AutomatedHome UK Discussion
group http://groups.yahoo= .com/group/ukha_d/ .
Soon after this was reported there it was also posted to the online
forum Tekheads http://= www.tekforums.co.uk:81/posts.php?
threadId=3D16960&page=3D1.  As you might have guessed mass purchas= ing
happened, people started buying laptops.  Some bought 1 at a time, but others bought 10 or even 20.  The news started flying.  As it=
started to spread across the internet, not knowing any boundaries, it
was posted on news groups on IRC chat rooms, on email distributions
lists, and through instant message agents like msn and icq.  People started to find other great bargains on other parts of the site with
prices as low as 1p for other pc parts.

After ordering users where sent emails of order confirmations.

After the smoke had died down the online support groups where setup
to help users who had bought these laptops
http://www.laptops.verychea= p.co.uk/
http://www.coolhardw= are.co.uk/modules.php?
name=3DForums&file=3Dviewforum&f=3D17

Now comes the question, should Foris be forced to sell the laptops at
this price? Could any company afford to lose this much money? Could
the courts force Foris to sell these laptops at their stated price?
As you can see a big can of worms has been opened up.

Might be a story here much like the Kodak issue that happened at the
start of this year. http://www.ko= dakcamera.co.uk/

More information can be gained from the listed sites about this issue
including copies of receipts screen captures specs on the laptops and
copies of the T&C
