McDonalds hits the 21st Century......

Morning all,

Interested to note that at my local McDonalds drive-thru (Abbey Lane,
Leicester) they now use Pocket-PC based Handhelds to take orders and
money
is taken at the first window.  Is this the case anywhere else?

Unfortunately I didn't get a make/model. The PDA seemed to be 16 colour
and said "PocketPC" at the top. I would be interested to learn
how this
interfaces into their current system and a get a general overview
e.g. what software is used?

Would this be Bluetooth? The person with the handheld was about 3-5
metres
>from
every so often, just inside the window.

If anyone has any more details, I would be interested to learn more.
