Surprisingly it picked up everything on my little BookPC with has on
board sound video and LAN.

Pretty much :)  I've taken over the utility (much to the disgust of the
Mrs - the study is too crowded already). The 850 meg hard drive wasn't
big enough on the BookPC so I put in a 40 gig and started RH.  But after
a chat with Stuart I changed my mind mid install and went back to
Mandrake.  It's finishing off now...
