RE: HA system networks

My first ever Video Switcher (pre KAT5) has been in daily service since 1995 and is controlled by a BBC B that boots from 5 1/4 floppy.

In all that time it had only failed to boot once.......someone knocked the eject lever for the disk drive.

Closed it and it booted straight into its program

CH. "VIDEOSW"   :-)

Keith  (who still has 5 BBC B's)

P.S. Let's not forget the BBC Microcomputer OS 1.20.

I've managed to keep my BBC Micro hidden from SWMBO through 4 house
moves - I can't bear the thought of getting rid of something that I'm
sure _SHOULD_ be useful for something HA-related, whilst SWMBO thinks
it's just 'old stuff' taking up space.

Is anyone really using a BBC? If so, what for?

Nic
