The installers who put mine in last october used this new smaller twin
feed
cable. They also suggested it shouldnt go more than 30 feet.

SKY+.......

..... I need to install some cables now, as I will no longer have access
to
the cable route in a few weeks, and I have not yet persuaded SWMBO that
it
is an essential purchase.
So: What cable is best?
I already have SKY so can reuse existing cable for one lnb, but am happy
to
replace with higher quality if it's worth the effort.
I have heard that some sky installers are using some sort of twin core
stuff
@ brand new installations - is this any good?
Is it available?
Anyone know of a cheap source of quality sat cable?
Also, it's bad enough that for 6ft of the run, I have power & cat 5
cable
next to each other, but now the sat cable will be in the same too - is
all
this SAT traffic likely to interfere with CAT5 signals? Or indeed,
is
mains
noise likely to affect the sat signal in the same way that it can
affect
CAT5?
Finally, how many runs do I need for SKY+?
My understanding is that it is a QUAD LNB you get, but only 2 of the
outputs
are used - does this mean the others are redundant?
Is there any value in running cable for all four?
cheers,
Tony
