On a related not:
I once read a story of a chap who's motorbike was in the process
of being stolen. He called the police, but they couldn't get round for
a little while IIRC. He called back to report a mugging happening
right then. They turned up VERY quickly after that !
I think that's how it went anyway, but the gist of it stuck with me.
No idea how much trouble he was in for mis-reporting a crime
though!
