James,

A lifetime's worth of books is about 56Gb :-)

Calculation as follows:

      A bookcase = .8m x 7 shelves = 5.6 meters

20 years' worth of books = 25 bookcases
      -> 20 years' worth of books = 140 meters

      1 lifetime = 80 years collecting
      1 lifetime = 560 meters of books

      1 Gb = 10 meters

      1 lifetime's worth of books = 56Gb

It was interesting what would fit on these HUGE drives... A lifetime's worth
of MP3s with space left, a lifetime's worth of books with space left etc.

Video on the other hand was about the only thing that WOULD fill one of
these drives :)

The interesting thing for me was that cheap storage and higher bandwidth is
pushing the cost of content towards zero.  It will be the meta data used to
organise and find that content that will be worth the money.

Not so bad organising your MP3 collection on an 80GB drive, some people have
4 times this and it starts getting to be a pain (Ian?).  Try organising
120TB of content.....

James H
