It allows you to connect one machine to another to use it's power. 
The
client machine just acts like a display device for the server machine.
The "real" TS comes with Win2K Server and runs virtual
machines.  You
can do something similar with Win XP but this takes over the server
machine unlike Win2K Server.  Have a look at this review to see TS
running on an iPAQ and Epod..
