For
agreements sake, I presume you are thinking of using a 4 way mains strip,
plugging your appliances into this, and then cutting the mains plug off
this and
plugging this into the UPS?

You
can get 4 way blocks with a fuse on the strip, - using one of these and an
IEC
on the end of the cable would offer you some protection, so long as you
changed
the fuse to a 5amp. - each item would be fused, but the concern is that you
overload the plugs, you may struggle to fit 13amp cable into an IEC plug
though.
Otherwise look at using an inline
fuse?
I
use IEC plugs on all my lighting gear, and fuse them all back at the
switching panel.
