KAT5 is used for line level audio/video (from source to amp/monitor)
you would still need an amp between the KAT5 and the speakers. CAT5
is not really suitable for direct connection to speakers either. I
and many others installed speaker wire to rooms as well as cat5 so
that distributed audio could be achieved with multiple speakers and a
central amp.
