One extra bit – I had to create a logs directory (C:\Program Files\Jetty\logs) before running jetty for the first time, only then did it start correctly. – Not sure why.

I have installed ver 4.0 – The web site says stable and it was before I found your instructions. I’ll continue to run it for now

Had some fun moving the dabbar site to a different port, but all is OK now.
