Hi All,

It's perfectly do-able in fact this was exactly what I did before building =
mt super server I posted about a couple of days ago.

So points to remeber

1) If using master & slave drives to reduce the number of IDE channel, =
remember a failure of the slave drive will render then master drive
un-usable.

2) Ensure you get a big enough PSU, for 8 drives your looking at 460W plus<= BR>
3) IDE is NOT hotswapable.

4) Ensure there is adequate case cooling.

There are IDE RAID cards that allow 8 drives connected to it, to make them =
appear as 1 single scsi drive to 8 single scsi drives.
