Media is too expensive and I want a tape based solution that will allow me to still play my old VHS collection of movies if I need to.

 

D-VHS just fits the bill and as it hasn't taken off then the hardware is fairly cheap...

I archived some recordings to tape from TiVo earlier this week ... was watching through them to make sure they'd recorded OK. I thought "This is gash ... Jesus! Tape is bad" ... and then realised that I *HAD* used S-VHS tape and it was an S-VHS recording. I can't even bring myself to watch VHS now!

 

I now just need a D-VHS deck to archive off TiVo recordings! (Another "toy" for the list.)

Was in Makro last night with my B-i-law.  He picked up a 6 head, NICAM,
Video Plus & NTSC playback VCR for 69.99 + VAT.  Throw away prices or what.
