Paul, my laptop has an Irda port, but it's not a comm port (which is what is
needed to communicate to it thru the ms com ocx, or hyperterminal).
Apparently if the Irda is implemented as pci, it can't be exposed as a com
port. The Fuji can be configured as a comm in bios though.

I have an external irda device on route which plugs into the com port (if xp
tries it on, I might downgrade!). So fingers crossed...
