Actually it looks like a bit of a duffer, I had to change a couple of classes just to get it to compile - not a good sign.

I've just found another and according to the web site people are already using this with the rio receiver.

http://hometown.aol.com/markmitche11/jnfsd.htm

also it comes pre compiled.

I'll take a closer look at both of these later in the week but I've got my mother coming over in about 30 minutes so that'll be the rest od the day gone as far as computing is concerned.

Alas, too complex for me without instructions. It's the kind of software that comes with a "makefile" and assumes that you have +that+ sort of compiler.

I'm not on Linux, here ;-)

There is a java nfs server implementation at

http://www.gnu.org/software/java/java-software.html

called nfsi, not looked at it but with any luck you may even be able to run it in the same vm as your servlet container.

Alan,

JReceiver is running.

However, in order to get the Rios to see JReceiver, you need to install a separate NFS server on the Windows box (see )

This is what I'm now trying to do ;-(

Couldn't you just run JReceiver on the windows box?

Hi all,

Does anyone know of a _FREE_ NFS server for Windows 2000.

I've tried the TrueGrid one, but it has errors under Win2k, and only seems to work under NT4 and 9x.

And before anyone suggests it, SAMBA is not an option, I have to make the Windows box share with NFS - it's not viable to make the Unix box read SMB.

Actually on-topic: This is for JReceiver!

Mark
