What
about the SYNC !!!!!
If it
also switches COmposite you can feed the SYNC through
that.

Unless I'm missing something, isn't
the plan here to feed RGB into the Component inputs and feed the
Component
outputs to the set. I would have thought that if the amp isn't trying to
monkey about with the signal, this could well
work.
