Andy,
I use a product called Extra DNS it has the following DNS servers
configured
by default:
158.43.240.4 uk (this usually responds quicker than my ISP's DNS server)
149.174.211.5 usa
212.127.151.92 netherlands
210.145.105.162 japan
139.134.5.51 Australia
