I have been thinking about using the SCART switching signal from a Sky
digibox (on SCART 2 VCR) to activate recording on a PC using ShowShifter or
some other recording software.
What I would like to be able to do is set a bunch of auto reminders in the
Sky EPG, have a PC detect the switch signal (using a powerflash module or
something) when the program starts, then have a script or small app set off
a recording. I think the digibox sends another 'signal' when the program
finishes so this makes it possible to also stop the recording.
Sound doable?
If so, does anyone (Mr. Doxey? (AKA SCART man) :-)) know how you would have
to wire the SCART socket.
Cheers,
Justin.
