Don't joke too much ...

My video scaler has serial port control and 2 x Composite, 2 x S-Video and
2
x Component inputs plus a VGA input for a PC all software selectable (as
are
the image adjustments) from the serial port. I have been thinking of using
a
PC (if I can make one quiet enough) to run rolling trailers etc. whilst
nothing was being watched (during projector warmup periods, DVD changes on
the DVD jukebox or whatever) ... I was going to also try to run up a
Powerpoint presentation of tacky local adverts too to go with them!

Of course the Pioneer DVD writer that they keeep selling on Scan would mean
that I could have a DVD of trailers and bits loaded in my "spare"
DVD player
and then that could be switched in via HV instead which would mean no noisy
PC!

Phil
