We used to suffer badly from break-ups everytime the boiler kicked
in or someone flicked the light switch. My thinking was along the
same line as you so I got a mains filter for the OnDodgy box as well
as the antenna amplifier but it didn't help at all. The solution
came six months later when the mangagement company upgrade the
central antenna system to support the OnD frequencies - no more
problem with break-ups. So the problems seems to be that it's
really sensitive to interference on the signal input. Maybe proper
earthing could help?

Cheers,
Matt
