I was having a few sherbets with a mate of mine last night, and he happened
to mention that he has the following server sitting idle at home, and was
considering selling it, he asked me what kind of figure he should expect to
ask for it, and I had to admin to being a bit uncertain! The spec is as
follows:
Compaq Proliant 3000R rack mount server
Smart-Array controller
1 x 18GB hot-plug SCSI disk
2 x 9GB " " " "
128MB ECC RAM
unfortunately he doesn't know how many or what processors are installed, or
if it has dual redundant PSU's or anything more than what's detailed
above... (I'm going to give him a copy of Smartstart next week, and get
him
to run a report off)
What kind of figure would one of you guys be prepared to pay?
