Would you believe it? My missus bought herself an iPaq today and won't let
me play with it :-(( !!!!

So, this afternoon I bought my own and now we have an iPaq each :-)

So, what are the essentials to procure next? Software (free or cheap) and
hardware recommendations are most welcome.
