Sounds interesting, not sure which way to go on this, I am still in the
process of making a rack mounted switcher which is almost finished then I
will see how things progress from there.

Keep us informed on this though.

Hi

I had a similar problem. Not sure about your server, but on my
proliant 330 you soon end up with no available PCI slots. To solve
the problem put in a good quality USB card and then use that to
convert to extra serial and parallel ports etc. Belkin has a new USB
capture device called the video bus II which captures video and audio
via the USB bus. (carefull alot of USB devices only capture video and
rely on your sound card for the audio capture). That way you keep as
many slots free as you can. At the moment there is a driver issue
with the sound on the Videobus II but I believe it will be sorted
soon.
