Going back to the actual topic... are the Wiring Regulations available
online anywhere? The only references I can find are for purchasing a hard
copy of them. Since many regulations are available for "free" to
encourage
the DIYer to be safe and comply, it seems that they ought to be easily
obtainable from somewhere.

Since I want to get my CU changed soon and add an outside circuit, I would
like to know as much as possible and fix anything that needs fixing before
having some electrician or the electricty board demand something
[expensive]
is altered before reconnecting my supply.
