I believe updates can be directed at particular brands of boxes (for
example
the last ECM seemed only to hit certain brands of boxes) ... my
experimental
Kevlar card is still working. You don't get a choice about updating the
firmware as it damn well goes and does it itself ... and locks up whilst
doing so! (This is great if you have a timed recording set up of course!)
