I have the 'pleasure' of driving a smokey old 406 at the moment (pool car
whilst
I wait for my new one to arrive), and the cap wedges nicely into the pump
trigger forcing it to stay open. So far I've not have any accidents!

Why is it always the Tesco's pumps that click off too quickly??

Pete

PS Shell Optimax - some uses on the TT Owners forum have used it and don't
rate
it too highly. Most of them use a fuel additive to up the octane rating -
cheaper than buying SUL.

There's one pump at my local Tescos that cannot be squeezed fully open
without it clicking off constantly ... you have to dribble fuel in at about
half speed.

I too wish that pumps still had the ability to be locked open ... holding a
cold nozzle on a wet winters night is a sould destroying experience! ;-)
