Well I would say that the IXUS is you're answer then given the criteria.
The one downside to the IXUS, IMO, is the power pack. It has a small
proprietary battery pack (re-chargeable of course)but it does run out of
steam very quickly if you use the LCD screen at all, this worries me for
holidays so another battery pack may be needed.

I'm 99.9% certain I will never want to do A4 prints!
I want the smallest lightest possible camera for:
- taking pictures of all my property for the insurance company
- holiday snaps
- pictures for a website
I very definately want one which uses CF rather than SM storage, so I
can
use either my existing 128MB CF card, or a microdrive in future.
