Pedro,
The MT series from Toshiba is good and
reasonably quite with a reasonable picture but it cannot replace a standard
CRT
telly in all conditions, you *have*
to have a darkened room for both LCD and CRT projectors. Fan noise is just
something we all put up with ‘cause basically there is not a lot of
options without spending loads of dosh.

Projectors
I am considering buying a
projector
and asked a colleague to lend me his to try out. As a replacement for
a
TV I would have expected (wanted) a better quality image but I suppose that
is
the shortfall for having suck a large display - this I may be able to live
with. What concerned me was the amount of noise that came from the
projectors fan when operating. Surely this is a noisy one and there
are
projectors out there that are much more silent - can anyone recommend a
silent
one (not silly money) . In other words - I can get this past SWMBO if
it
doesn't make a lot of noise otherwise
"OUT".
The model I borrowed is the
InFocus
LP400
