The best way to find out if this is the problem is to go round switching of
electricaly noisy items, such as large TV's & fridges and see if that
cures
your problem. If not start on the smaller things, DDAR's for example are
known to kill X10 signals.

I'm assuming you need to know which appliance is the offender before you
can
apply an X10 filter?

Also once you have found the gremlin, you could try wrapping the power cord
round a toroidal magnet a few times ... that has been known to cure line
noise.
