Guys,

Have any of you managed to get this to work. I have Autoroute 2001, which came as part of MS Works. I have changed the hex code in the exe file but it hasn’t changed the update speed.

Any ideas ?

Regards,

Paul

I found the hack for Autoroute 2001 to update quicker. The details are here

there are different codes for Autoroute 2002 that I have seen posted.

Hope this helps.

My only real gripes with Autoroute 2001 and the GPS in the car are that if you have the map zoomed in quite tight then the update speed can be a drag - especially if you are getting close to the edge of the screen and your exit is just on the next page however I find that zooming out of the map does actually help that a lot.

Of course if in 2002 they had made the update delay configurable and had restricted the GPS location indicator to - say - the central third of the screen only before redrawing then that would be a reason for me to buy the new version.

Following on from this, what version of auto route are you guys using. I have 2000 and 2001, GPS support in 2000 leaves a black line where you have been. In 2001 it just has the car image thing and with an update of 15 seconds it no good for travelling.

If any one knows of any fixes for this I would be grateful.

Regards

Paul

I read somewhere that you need to hack Autoroute to change the default 5 second update -

Hmmm ... so someone has found a way to make Autoroute update from the GPS more frequently? If you find out how then I'd love to know...
