Don you need to format the contents of the cell using a custom format of
[h]:mm. The square brackets stop it rolling 24 hour over to a day.

Steve

OK Guys and Gals, I hope you don't mind if I slip in a quick OT request !

Basically, I want to create an excel spreadsheet that calculates Hours and
minutes worked in the week. No problem sorting out the daily hours and
minutes worked but I want to create a weekly total of hours and minutes.
When I sum the weeks daily times I can only produce an entry like:

01:10:30

whenI really want

34:30

i.e. it won't display more than 24 hours without flipping into days. I know
you can multiply the time by 24 but this gives 34.5 not 34:30

Any clues ?

TIA

Don
