Re: Windows XP Questions...

When you connect to xp pro using terminal services client the xp pro box does go back to the login screen. You can only have a single active session running. This isn't a problem for me as i hardly ever need the xp box and epod going at same time. But if i do i just log the epod onto the win2k server i have instead.

However I had to sent this reply from the Epod on Win2k server cos my son is using the XP box to watch a divx movie. :o)

Phil

I just installed XP Pro last night on my ShowShifter machine and it now works PERFECTLY!  There's even an ATI XP driver (released 22/10.01) for my card. I'm well happy.

Picked everything up fine except my motherboards on board sound - the Win2K driver I got on the CD that came with the board worked fine.  I then ran Windows update which found an even more up-to-date audio driver.

Darren is running his Epod on XP TS so I know that works fine too.

Any of you guys that are running XP Professional ... could you check up on a couple of things for me?

Does XP pro support a terminal services session (for use from ePod etc.)?

What's the hardware support like? Will it use Windows 2000 drivers for example?

I was hoping that the 50Mb of Windows XP Upgrade Advisor that I downloaded last night would tell me this morning whether Win XP supported the hardware on my main PC but it won't run on that machine as I have Win 2000 Server on there and it refuses to run on that platform!
