As far as I'm aware the 562V doesn't transcode between S-Video and
Composite
(or vice versa) ... I had the same "problem" with my DSP-A1 as I
was running
DVD and LD as S-Video and the VCR was composite.

To get round it I bought an S-VHS VCR (which hence could connect as an
S-Video source) and the "problem" was solved.
